At night, they come out pumped and primped. They strut their stiff, er
, stuff on stage in white underwear, the skimpier and flimsier, the better. The one with the best smile, best bod and PR skills gets the top prize, which could be in the form of a little amount of money, a glass trophy and colorful sash. This is the simple life of the regular entrants to the bikini competitions. In photo: John Canterbury

Good news, bad news. The good one: hunky model Jon Hall
is back after a long hiatus from showbiz. He’s one of the few straight men in GMA-7’s Survivor Philippines [Celebrity Edition]. Of course, he sees this reality show as a platform for his return to the klieg lights. Bad news: he doesn’t want to take off his shirt [and pants] anymore. According to reports, Mr. Hall
doesn’t want to go sexy and go the himbo route anymore. He says he wants “roles that have a good story.”
Because he is always wearing a bikini. Because he likes to be shot with a bulge and a smile. Because he is cute and sexy. Our Hump Day boy is Jake Mendoza
a.k.a. Mark John Sellado
. Of course, by now, you are very familiar with him. And I hope you won’t get tired staring at him. One of these days, maybe he’ll drop his speedos for us.
Twenty-three-year-old actor Ahron Villena is one of the more good looking castaways in GMA-7’s Survivor Philippines [Celebrity Edition]. This young hunk is hoping to revive his showbiz career via the reality tv route, after being discovered six years ago in an ABS-CBN noon time show contest.
From the big venues to the small bars, down to the little dark alleys and backyard places, the bikini contest for guys is one growing cottage industry. Throw in a couple of daring boys – like Julian Binarao

above, a small venue, some budget for flimsy fabric that could pass for swimwear, and you have a sizzling hawt contest. Or some semblance of a bikini competition. Who wants to hold one?
I’m dreaming of the sea, on a boat, on a warm sunny Monday morning with cute boys in tanga, er
, bikinis. But I’m off to the salt mines, and I can only daydream my way into the sun-sea scenario. Meanwhile, here’s Dave Reyes,
cute guy from Pampanga. He’s only 20 years old, youngish but a vet in bikini contests in his region, like the Subic Beach Bodies

This is Paolo Dionio,
another very familiar face in the competitions about town where the boys wear small-sized underwear. He was last seen at the Heatwave Bikini Showdown
, where he was one of the semi-finalists. Paolo is a 22-year-old Nursing student from the University of Perpetual Help System in Laguna. He was the winner in last year’s Metrobodies Search for Model of the Year
, an annual bikini open sponsored by Metro Bar in Quezon City.
Something’s brewing and here’s a teaser! The PR goes – X-RAY is proud to present former StarStruck alumni, Prince Stefan in the premiere issue of X-RAY Junior. X-RAY Junior puts the spotlight on one celebrity and showcases his most intimate and sexy photos captured in a poster magazine format. The poster magazine is folded in a 7.5 x 9.75 inch format and can be unfolded to reveal more pictures until a giant size 30 X 40 inch poster is unveiled.
For the first time, Prince sheds his teenage boy image for a more mature and sexy look. Gone is the lanky boy physique as he reveals his new hunky build—the product of numerous hours in the gym. Prince’s Filipino and Arab features make him the natural subject for X-RAY and this issue’s provocative pictures are the most daring shots he has ever done in his career.
X-RAY Junior Prince Stefan will be available in select stores in Manila starting September 15. Get your collector’s item copy for only P150 from CV Magazine in Landmark, Filbars, BookSale and selected Fully Booked branches. X-RAY Junior is published by X-ray Media Publications.
