Sherwin Ordonez for Kurap

Late post. I just finished my 10-mile run at the One La Salle Run with lots of eye candy. Never have I seen so many cute guys in one run. Ok, I’m digressing from my post today. Erstwhile teen idol Sherwin Ordonez is coming out in his first movie [!] and first mature role on screen in the independent movie, Kurap. From the Sikil tandem of director Roni Bertubin and screenwriter Romualdo Avellanosa, Kurap is the story of small-time crooks in innercity Manila and how their lives tragically spiral in a day. The movie will have its world premiere in the Asian and Arab competition section of the 10th Osian’s Film Festival in New Delhi from July 12 to 20. And by the way, shirtless picture first of Sherwin, who did daring scenes in the movie. More revealing photos of cute Sherwin once the movie gets scheduled for showing in Manila.

Paolo Paraiso goes very daring

Finally, after all these years lusting after this guy, model-turned-actor Paolo Paraiso is baring all on screen in the movie Immoral.  The movie, which is directed by Adolfo Alix from the screenplay of Jerry Gracio [Santa Santita], is part of the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival 2008.  It is the story of a man, his wife, and male lover all in one roof [hmmm, sounds familiar, I think this was the theme before in an Anton Bernardo flick with a Paraiso in the title].  Nevertheless, Paolo Paraiso promises, in this movie, to show a side we apparently have not yet seen before. I can’t wait.

Steady Marco

Marco Alcaraz is turning 26 next week [July 12] and I just thought I’ll put his new photo here. Wearing Bench underwear, of course.  The dusky ex-baller is busy working on tv as a half-man, half-fish character in the primetime hit Dyesebel.  He will be seen next as one of the celebrity models of Bench in the much-hyped Blackout show.

Jon Mullally booming

Enough of the sleaze first. How about Jon Mullally aka Jon Avila for today? After signing up last year with Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s network-based talent agency, Jon seemed to have made a successful transition from the runway to the telly.  As a chunky-hunky part of that all-boys sing-and-dance group called  Coverboys, Jon will soon fly to the U.S. for a concert tour [gasp!]. Too, he has his own  superhero series on his home studio, Kapitan Boom. Which only proves that talent and/or connections and/or perseverance make up for good showbiz success.

Lex Bonife of the Antonio and Parola movies, sends the photo above and writes:  From the makers of “Ang Lihim ni Antonio” and “Ang Lalake sa Parola” comes a heartwarming story about four gay men , their friendship and a road trip that will change their lives forever.  Kambyo stars Kenjie Garcia [of Antonio], Rayan Dulay [Duda, Moreno, Bath House], Harold Macasero [I think he is that guy from the 90s afternoon soap of GMA 7, Anna Karenina], and the Provoq guys Johnron Tanada and Gabz del Rosario.  Screenplay is by Lex Bonife and Direction is by Jay Altarejos.  Lex says that he does not want to announce the schedule yet as they are not done with the editing. The target date for the premiere is June.  So there! By the way, that’s Johnron Tanada in the photo.

Geoff Eigenmann loses weight, goes shirtless

When 22-year-old cutesy actor Geoff Eigenmann lost a lot of weight, he went about town proudly showing off his new body.  Although it still does not have the perfect cuts and curves, Geoff now has a leaner and tighter bod.  As one of the actors in ABS-CBN’s primetime series Lobo, he immediately donned swimming trunks and jockeys for the key scenes.  He says he lost weight the natural way – through boxing, that is. Geoff is also an endorser of Hanford underwear, replacing Dingdong Dantes.

Andrew Schimmer in daring movies

It seems like Andrew Schimmer is doing the sexy route these days, what with his acceptance of roles in movies with erotic themes. After his revealing love scenes in the movie Green Paradise, expect more shimmer, er, Schimmer in movies such as Eskandalo and Project X: Pinoy Deep Throat. In Eskandalo, Andrew plays a hustler who puts a canister up the ass of veteran actor Emilio Garcia [tasteless, tasteless movie, if you ask me].

The Brothers Harman

Brothers Mark [standing] and Sean Harman are trying their luck in Philippine showbiz. Born to a Filipino mother and New Zealander father, Mark [20 years old] and Sean [18 years old] both stand 6′-tall. Sean is a waiter back in Brisbane while Mark is a chef. If I’m not mistaken, Sean’s using the name “Sean Oh” for GMA 7’s afternoon series, Daisy Siete: Prince Charming and the Seven Maids. The boys have signed up for GMA 7 projects.

Johnron Exclusive!

Johnron Tanada revealed that, despite his being with Viva Films for quite some time now, he just recently signed an exclusive contract with the artist management arm of the company. Which means, we can expect more Johnron appearances in Viva projects soon. In fact, he made a brief appearance in the Robin Padilla-Aiai delas Alas movie produced by Viva. And as for the Viva Digital movie he will be doing under the Jay Altarejos-Lex Bonife team [Parola, Antonio], the shoot starts today all the way up to Vigan City. Entitled Kambyo, this is a gay road trip movie, which will [again] show off Johnron’s jewels. Lex promised exclusive stills for the site, so there’s something to watch out for, guys. And, as for this photo shoot [images above], I will be posting Johnron photos soon sans the jeans.

Will gets nominated

Will Sandejas‘s career is on the upswing lately. Although the singer-actor failed to make the final cut [I think he was in the top 30] in Pinoy Idol, the Philippine version of the worldwide franchise of the reality singing competition, the moreno actor picked up a nomination at the Philippine Movie Press Club’s Star Awards for Movies. He is in the New Movie Actor of the Year category for his performance in Sikil. Other nominees from the movie include Romualdo Avellanosa [Digital Original Screenplay], Soon Lee Mi [Digital Movie Editor] and Ron Jancen Solis [Digital Movie Original Theme Song].
