Wrecking Ball

Long before the nudity-and-wrecking-ball visuals became a fad, Zanjoe Marudo was already rockin’ it years ago for the promo of Bench Fever, the 2006 version of the biennial underwear show of the local underwear company. He was hot then as he is now.
Here is how he looked like then, when his management agency still had no restrictions on wearing underwear [and gaudy clothing] in public.

Grainy Pics

Grainy pics. Old pics Sunday. At the biennial Bench underwear show in 2006 dubbed as Bench Fever, the models came out hot and ready for the fleshfest.

A then-unknown model by the name of Jon Mullally appeared on stage in tiny jocks.
He went on to become a Bench underwear model favorite.

Bit player Marco Alcaraz also showed his fine moreno form.

Veteran model Luke Jickain could hardly contain his excitement and hard-on.

Model Robby Mananquil was game, pre-rhinolasty.

Promising model Iago Raterta made his last appearance before becoming an illegal alien in the US.

And, of course, the cream of the crop then – a butt-nekkid Andrew Wolff!

Kick Buttowski

And there he goes again! Thirty-one-year-old actor Wendell Ramos first floored [and scandalized] the Araneta Coliseum audience at the Bench Fever show in 2006 when he appeared on stage with a clenched butt [left photo]. At the Bench Blackout fleshfest in 2008, he played coy and just wore tiny briefs sans rump exposure. Recently, at the Bench Uncut extravaganza, he wore a strand of underwear again, revealing a plump posterior. Of course, he got the most bluster and boom from the crowd that night.

Enchong is having fun

Smooth boy Enchong Dee seems to have abandoned his training for the Olympic Gold. He’s been concentrating lately on tv soaps and shows, and modeling for the underwear brand Bench. First photo above was taken from the Bench Fever Underwear and Denim Show in 2006, where the 18-year old showed his swimmer’s bod, while second photo [right] was taken recently at the Be Bench Finals Night, where he bared a bit of extra poundage.

Scenes from a Bench Underwear Go-See

For followers of ANTM, a ‘go-see’ would have to be model auditions where the models go from one designer to another to get hired. The Bench Fever Underwear Show [held last year] attracted hundreds of models during their go-see, which included the pros, amateurs, and the curious. The professional mannequins had to slug it out with the upstarts before a panel of judges with rate cards. It is quite a humbling experience, as described by one top model, after going through the process. But that’s how the cookie actually crumbles for models who want to land a fair and honest job. [ There’s Puma Borja, Will Devaughn, Cedric Sandez, and Lawrence de Stefano. And UPH, that’s your friend Jeffrey from Laguna, right? The one in the last photo, middle guy.]

Michael Raymond Lim quits Provoq Men!

Thanks to Carlita von Shuewmel from Jax, FL, I was informed that my favorite member of Provoq , Michael Raymond Lim has quit the group. That is awfully sad [think, he won’t be doing that stripping thing anymore]. Raymond, who is the tallest in the group at 6’2″ is a graduate of the Far Eastern University and STI-Makati. He has modeled for Bench Fever last year for Cecille Zamora’s designs. At present the guy is scouting for modeling projects and mainstream movie employment. When asked why he quit the group, he simply replied that he didn’t get his fame from his derring-do, so he just left. For more news, see link.

G-ford turns his back on us and we are not the least bit offended.

G-ford Lara, half of the bod-to-die-for brother-models team [the other being CJ Lara], is 28 years old and single. He has been modeling for quite some time now for A-list designers and brands in the country, most notable of which were assignments for Bench Underwear and Cosmopolitan Magazine’s Eligible Bachelors Show. CJ has also appeared in a movie, the unlamented Xerex Files Trilogy, where he played a deadbeat fiancĂ©e in the “O” episode of said film.
