Looker: Kerwin Angeles

Twenty-three year old Kerwin Angeles is currently the endorser for Home Suite, a leading manufacturer, exporter and supplier of various home furnishings. Kerwin Angeles is also a student at the Philippine Maritime College taking up Customs Administration. Also a part-time model, he has done fashion ramp shows for brands Jag, Arena and Caterpillar. Determined to make his mark in the biz, Kerwin has appeared in cameo tv roles in ABS-CBN’s Maala-ala Mo Kaya and Nginig .

Richard Guebar’s Back!

Richard Guebar is back in the scene. For a time he was a constant fixture in male modeling contests and bikini open searches until he disappeared from the limelight. Richard Guebar then got bit roles on tv series, mostly with GMA 7. He apparently did an xxx-rated flick released exclusively in Europe. Now, he is making the rounds of magazines as a sexy pinup boy.

Eager Beaver: Jhon Jerico Lee

Hopeful twinkie Jhon [no misspelling there] Jerico Lee is 19 years old and stands at 5’9″. He is an aspiring model fromTarlac Province. As with the countless others who want to make it big in the biz as models or actors, Jhon is a constant fixture in local bikini pageants. He was last seen at the Hari ng Central Luzon contest earlier this year, together with Michae Hoo.

Kaisan Again.

This will have to be my second post on twinkie Kaisan Lopez, who was Valentino magazine’s [go buy the zine, lots of fantastic photos and articles, guys] pinup boy recently. The 20-year old Engineering student from the Far Eastern University in Manila, is showbiz-struck and will soon be seen in guest appearances on tv and in the movies.

Saucy Twinkie: Jay Oanes

Twenty-year old Jay Oanes is a BS Nursing student at the Our Lady of Fatima University in Valenzuela City [this university north of Manila is turning out to be an open pit mine for diamonds in the rough]. He stands 5’8″ and has grand plans of entering showbiz in the future. Jay, in fact, was in a walk-through role [blink-and-you’ll-not-see-me cast] in the Manila Filmfest entry Lagot Ka Sa Kuya Ko, shown a couple of years ago.

Ballsy: Jerwin Ellao

Jerwin Ellao is 21 years old and a native of Pasay City. He was a candidate of the Valentino Magazine Coverboy Search held recently. Said contest, which featured a no-briefs-allowed-onstage-but-wear-something-skimpy-and -tacky portion, attracted quite a number of dishy guys from the entertainment industry. It was such a huge hit, owing to the attractive contestants, the fast-paced production, and of course, the audacity of the boys.

Bursting Forth: Gabriel Fajardo

Twenty-one year old Gabriel Fajardo works as a clerk in an eyewear company [look for him in the malls!] and does modeling on the side. He lives in Cainta, Rizal. With the photos above, it gives me such cheer and delight with the fact that youngsters today are so bold and audacious in posing for photographs. For art’s sake, i presume.

Dick-A-Day: Mark Latino [plus his twin brother]

Twin brothers Mark Latino [topmost photos] and Enrico Oliviera – screen names, most probably, took different routes in the entertainment industry. The bolder Mark Latino was a dancer-stripper for RAMM, a gay club along Aurora Blvd. in Quezon City, while the meeker Enrico Oliviera went on to appear as a bit player on TV. These half-Persian, half-Filipino brothers were raised in the Antipolo hills by their Filipino mother and stepfather. Enrico was literally discovered on the streets selling iced water and candies by a director of Channel 2, who then cast him as an extra on the hit series Esperanza. Mark Latino, in the meantime, heated up the stage at RAMM and was a major draw then. He was also gay magazine lust-candy for a time. Not much has been heard of the brothers now.

Random Pick for the Day: Luis Alandy

In 1998, GMA-7 finally decided to emulate ABS-CBN Channel 2’s formula [Star Circle] for discovering unknown lookers, sort of a low-cost talent pool, for its soaps and other programs. One of the better-looking male talents who made the cut was then 18-year old Adrian Louis Alandy, or Luis Alandy. Born on 7 February 1980 in Manila, Luis grew up in middle class Antipolo City, a hilly burb outside Manila. Luis’s stay in GMA-7 was uneventful [Although, I distinctly remember his first role was a shirtless rural boy bathing in a river while lead actor Ruffa Gutierrez – it was her eponymous drama series then – was leering from the rocks. Funny.] Luis finally decided to jump ship to rival ABS-CBN in 2000. Ironically, he was included in the Star Circle Batch 9 and from then on, he eventually got noticed. The 5’8″ tall actor landed his first major acting role in the hit series “Pangako sa ‘Yo“. The drama series offers didn’t stop since then: “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas” (2003), “Vietnam Rose” (2005) and “Gulong ng Palad” (2005). He was also a member of the male revue Penis Talks and the sexy male group, Barako Boys. Luis has also passionately kissed a man [Polo Ravales] onscreen in the gay comedy flick, “Manay Po.” By the way, the actor finished a computer course at AMA-East Rizal campus and some units of Psychology at the San Sebastian College in Manila.

Fresh and Comer: Kaisan Lopez

In the list of Zen Buddhist names, Kaisan means “Opening the Mountain” or more specifically “Founding a Temple” or “Founding Priest.” Whatever mountains are being opened in the process, twenty-year-old Kaisan Lopez is one fine young specimen who deserves a token shrine. An Engineering student from Bulacan, Kaisan has been appearing of late in tv soaps and series. He hopes to be a mainstream actor someday. More photos soon.
