At last night’s fashion show for the top swimwear brand, sexy veteran models walked on stage in tight nylon lycra to the delight of the audience. Back stage, the half-nekkid boys pose for the group shot: from left, Marx Topacio, James Zablan, June Macasaet, Derick Hubalde, unknown guy, and Rendon Labador.

Speaking of runway models, here’s James Zablan – proof-positive that male mods in this country really rake in the dough just by appearing on stage, in fancy and tacky clothes, even for D-list designers. The 30-year-old model and former FEU Tamaraws baller drives a new mid-size sport-utility vehicle [Toyota Fortuner]. He lives in One Serendra, a posh “garden condominium” in Bonifacio Global City. And he doesn’t hold a day job. So you see, tall young boys, modeling pays really, really well.

Male model James Zablan is extra busy these days. After slowing down for a couple of years in the scene, the 6’2″-tall hunk with the unconventional look is now lining up again for go-sees and auditions for modeling jobs. So far, commercial brands and fashion designers have been getting his services.

Pro, Too

Ah, the fortunes of 6’2″-tall male model James Zablan! What will he do now? How will he go to the gym, take frequent trips to Boracay, go on a shopping spree? Now that he has fallen out of favor with his generous patron, it seems that the 29-year-old hunk is back to taking modeling jobs on the runway. Time was when he had it all as the best boy of his benefactor until some scandal and scrimmage happened over unrequited love, backstabbing [the real meaning, no double entendre there, I think], and roids. Oh wait, didn’t James play for the FEU Tamaraws when he was a student? Just thinking out loud…

James Zablan Groovy

It takes a bit of styling for model-baller James Zablan to really look dap and dapper.  Although he may not be strikingly handsome, 28-year-old James Zablan – who used to play for the Far Eastern University Tamaraws – can be nifty, at times.  Which means, it’s all about the swagger and the attitude.  The guy’s a professional model for quite some time now, and I think he has mastered the art of the trade.  It helps, of course, that he has a mighty fine body.

Rugged Baller: James Zablan

Another sexy baller with legit rock-hard abs is 27-year-old James Zablan. The 6’2″-tall hunk used to play collegiate basketball for the FEU Tamaraws in the 2001-2003 UAAP Seasons. Immediately after graduation, he played for the Philippine Basketball League as a member of the newbie team Viva Mineral Water. This year, he was part of the Philippine Basketball Association [PBA] Rookie Camp along with 46 other amateur ballers. Unfortunately, he was not drafted into the pro league. Yet, basketball’s loss is the modeling world’s gain, as James Zablan has done [and still does] countless A-list designers’ ramp shows, print ads and TVCs.
