John James Uy has no pretensions….

…of being wholesome and all. He declared in a magazine interview that he is willing to pose with just his skivvies on as he had the body to show off. John James Uy is the 5’10”-tall commercial model who was the first to be eliminated at the Be Bench Finals Night held recently. However, he was the first among the finalists to get a deal with the ABS-CBN network as he was cast as the third wheel of a popular love team in the Lovespell series.

Leading Man: Rafael Rosell

After finally proving his worth as a serious actor, sans the annoying accent, Rafael Rosell is now elevated to leading man status. Rafael recently bagged the Supporting Actor plum at the film critics’ Gawad Urian for his role in the lesbian movie Rome and Juliet. In a recent interview, Rafael noted that after winning the award, the press is now interested in his body of work rather than asking him about his body [due largely to his Bench underwear contract].

Candid Marvin Wijangco

Regular reader harrychuachika sent in a big batch of photos including those of Marvin Wijangco above [unfortunately, no Harry Chua pic though]. He’s a 5’11”-tall model – ubiquitous in runway, print and tv commercials for the big companies. Lately, he signed up with Star Magic [ABS-CBN’s talent agency] as Marvin Raymundo. He was last seen in the tv series May Minamahal. The 20-year-old hunk was also in this year’s list of Cosmo Magazine’s hot bachelors.

Rousing: Leover Reyes

Leover Reyes is a 24-year-old freelance model, who has done television and ramp shows. The 6′-tall exotic hunk has a Computer Engineering degree from the AMA University. He was last seen at the Private Parts Wearables: An All Out Fashion Show, where he had to wear flimsy bikinis and thongs. Off stage, he engages in drag racing and basketball.

VJ Utt hosts Miss Earth 2007

Bautful boy, MTV Asia’s VJ Utt [Gregg Uttsada Panichkul] is in town to host tonight’s Miss Earth 2007 pageant. The 32-year-old single guy, raised in California to Thai parents, is now based in Singapore for his work with MTV Asia. Yet, he shuttles back to Thailand where he does soap operas and movies – with varied roles from a sweet college boy to rebel to bisexual boytoy with AIDS.

Rednaked 2

This would have to be the second post on 5’11”-tall hunk Red Magat. This native of Obando, Bulacan is an aircraft mechanic technician and does modeling on the side. He is a graduate of the Airlink Aviation School, and worked in Japan for six months. Says he loves swimming, table tennis and boxing. Red Magat also appeared in the Seiko Films-produced Bikini Open movie.

Buff and Bistered: Alex Guevara

Alfred Guevarra aka Alex Guevara is 23 years old and a freelance model. He has the distinctly-Filipino look with good bones and nice skin. Alex, who was a finalist at the Man of the Year 2004 model search, has done major print ads and runway fashion shows. He has also posed au naturel for the much-missed gay pulp L Magazine.

Victor Basa looked a lot better …..

…… when he was younger, as seen in the photos above. He had those full lips and not-so-emaciated bod. Now, he looks a bit thin and tired, with those lips getting crookeder and crookeder. On a recent vacation, with nothing else to do but to watch tv and eat, I got to see him on the 24-hour feed of Big Brother. Victor is like a lost pup in the Big Brother show. Utterly reserved with an excruciatingly sad air, Victor tries to fit in the motley group inside the house. Yet, he chose to be there – so let’s see how far he goes…

Spark Ding!

Yes, that is his name – Spark Ding. Born in the Philippines to Korean parents, Spark Ding claims to have three college degrees – International Business in Australia, IT in Hong Kong, and Nursing in Manila. He speaks with an American inflection -put-on or otherwise, as a result of his living in half a dozen continents in the past. He was Mr. Campus Face 2006, when he represented his nursing college [I think it was St. Jude in Manila], and was one of the featured models in the Cosmo Bachelors’ Bash in 2006.

Jjampong!

The new Lucky Me Noodles commercial featured a Korean guy, who looked dapper and ethereal, perpetually yakking the word “jjampong” as the TVC rolled on. His name is Paulo Han, a 27-year-old Korean-Brazilian model doing the rounds of the runways and commercials around Asia. Just like jjampong [Korean noodle soup and seafood with hot red pepper], Paulo Han is spicy hot!
