The Beach 1

Two guys on an Ilocos beach. Both are sexy and oozing with appeal. The one on the left is Richard Lopez, a familiar face in the contest circuit. He’s gone from the bold and daring Valentino Cover Boy search [where he won as third runner-up] to the Ginoong Pilipinas 2007 pageant, all with relative ease and skimpiness of the you-know-what. The guy on the right is Marco Posadas, a regular too in bikini competitions. He competed at the recently-held Hataw Super Bodies 2009. He, unfortunately, lost.

Male model Richard Lopez a.k.a. Randy del Rosario goes puckish and peculiar in this photo. The 27-year-old freelance model and bikini open vet was once rumored to be the last hunk who joined the very daring Men of Provoq. Unfortunately the group disbanded before Richard Lopez can show his, uh, endowment. Talent or natural capacity, I mean. He is still very much around – in fashion shows and in some competitions of the bikini variety as he is tall with a nice bod.

Wake up, it’s Monday!

Did you wake up happy?  It’s Monday morning, and maybe you have the blues again?  There’s a surefire solution to that: Build on the moment.  This means that the only thing we can do when faced with problems and troubles, is to accept things the way they are and just be happy in the moment.  The logic of this thought is that one moment is carried into the next.  This is also called switching up the energy. When we put all our efforts into seeing the nice, good and beautiful, to pushing back all dark thoughts and to injecting light and happiness, we go into the next moment carrying that energy. Happy Monday! [Image: Richard Lopez

Nightswimming with Richard Lopez

You, I thought I knew you.
You I cannot judge.
You, I thought you knew me,
This one laughing quietly underneath my breath.

-REM, Nightswimming

Brown and chiseled Richard Lopez goes nightswimming, where “the moon is low tonight” and he “forgot his shirt at water’s edge.” Richard Lopez aka Randy del Rosario is a 26-year-old regular at bikini pageants, where he shows off his fine form. Just recently, UPH claimed that he’s the next Provoq guy, after the mass exodus of the more prominent members of the sexy bunch. And then, of course, Provoq is temporarily inactive these days.

If You Forget Me

Photo: Andro Morgan and Richard Lopez

This is from one of my drippy-favorite poems by Pablo Neruda, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Yes, I believe in the myth of V-Day, if you ask me. And my wish to you all: May you find peace despite your circumstances this Valentine’s Day!

I want you to know
one thing.

You know how this is:
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.

Well, now,
if little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you little by little.

If suddenly
you forget me
do not look for me,
for I shall already have forgotten you.

If you think it long and mad,
the wind of banners
that passes through my life,
and you decide
to leave me at the shore
of the heart where I have roots,
that on that day,
at that hour,
I shall lift my arms
and my roots will set off
to seek another land.

if each day,
each hour,
you feel that you are destined for me
with implacable sweetness,
if each day a flower
climbs up to your lips to seek me,
ah my love, ah my own,
in me all that fire is repeated,
in me nothing is extinguished or forgotten,
my love feeds on your love, beloved,
and as long as you live it will be in your arms
without leaving mine

Richard Lopez was the third-runner-up at the Valentino Magazine Cover Boy Search, held recently. The 26-year-old freelance model had the best bod from the motley group of contestants who competed in itty-bitty and out-and-out underwear. He was also seen at the Ginoong Pilipinas 2007 pageant, where he used the name Randy del Rosario representing San Juan, Metro Manila.
