Sam Milby. Will the boys be sexy shirtless all the time in the beach? Will they wear tiny shorts underwater? Will Gerald finally wear tight Speedos? Or Sam – barely out of oblivion – strip down to his boxer briefs? Wishful thinking, actually.

Is Sam Milby still relevant these days? Is he past his prime? Sam’s in this new prime time soap of ABS-CBN called Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala [literally Just Don’t Go Missing On Me] and the real come-on is that he’s always half-naked in his scenes. Of course, we’re not complaining.

Endless Summer Nights

Would you like to spend endless summer nights with popstar-researching-oblivion Sam Milby? Like sinfully sweaty evenings with the 30-year-old actor-singer? Folded and Hung has just released his images for the clothing company’s summer campaign and Sam’s sexy sticky, drenched dripping in his new ad for F&H!

Last Hurrah

He may not be in our midst anymore as he has chosen to go on to another life [abroad], but Sam Milby manages to make one final appearance for Folded and Hung in its summer campaign. Shirtless and still in his element, Sammy heats up the summer season for the local brand, which is slowly trying to build up barely-legal teens as its new sexy endorsers.

And so, Sammy does the Hollywood-or-bust schtick just like that. Next month, he’s leaving but he clarifies “not for good.” The good looking 27-year-old actor-singer says he’ll be leaving for a good three months to pursue some tv and movie auditions in the United States. While we wish him the best in whatever he’s doing, we are also led to ask: What could possibly drive him to suddenly drop his fairly successful career here in Manila for a round of cold readings abroad?

Hollywood or Bust

So there. Sam Milby‘s calling it quits [for now] in Philippine showbiz. He’s leaving February next year to pursue his, ironically, American dream. Apparently, he got himself an agent in New York and was promised some casting calls in some shows. Here’s wishing him all the tough luck in the US, so that he may be successful this coming year.

Q. What was the cause of the breakup? Was there someone else?

A. Yes. Third sex, er, I meant third party.

Losing Steam

Now that he’s slowly fading away from the limelight – unlike before when he had the movies and tv shows queued up, what should Sam Milby do to regain his glory days in showbiz? He seems to be out of the F&H campaigns, too, as the high profile local brand has put big boy Neil Etheridge in the main pages of the company’s website. What should Sammy do?

Well, he had his time. Hordes of fans were screaming. He had endless tv and movie offers. His concerts were all sold out. Now, Sam Milby‘s star is fading away. His recent prime time series was canceled abruptly. The rom-com he did didn’t do well at the box office. And nobody’s even going to his small-venue concerts. What’s next for the heartthrob?
