Promising new model in glam town is Orion Tamayo, a 20-year-old student from the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta. The 6’5″-tall cutie has been making the rounds lately of the Philippine Fashion Week shows, with his Bench Body stint as the highlight of his main debut on the runway. He was born and raised in Wisconsin before moving back here three years ago.
There’s a new model in town and his name’s Antonio de Murga Jr. Actually, he’s playing as a midfielder for the Loyola Meralco Sparks in the United Football League Philippines. He is the older brother of model-athlete Carlie de Murga. Antonio has appeared in countless fashion editorials, the recent Bench Body show [image, right], and the Emperador Light tvc.
While everyone’s talking about the grand Bench Body show at the Philippine Fashion Week [“grand” because there was a legion of nearly-nekkid local and foreign models in skimpy underwear], another undergarments company held a show somewhere in a cozy bar in the metro. Guitar underwear showcased its latest collection this season with main man Carlos Agassi gamely walking the runway in his skivvies. Mike Tan was also there, launched as an additional endorser of the brand.
So how about this? Eurasian model David Tang channeling moody and dark a la vampire. Of course, he’s in this tight pair of briefs and we seem to get a VPL vibe again. David used to model for the Teens Wear Department of the SM Department Store.
Fun facts: Twenty-two-year-old Teejay Marquez took over the reins of Walker underwear when sexy hunk Ahron Villena made a hasty exit from the company after a very public spat with you-know-who [and that’s another story]. Although his body type -twinky thin and slender smooth, is not that appropriate for modeling underthings, the relative unknown still managed to snag the endorsement deal. I’m not so sure now if he’s still with Walker.
