  5. some nice landscape shots in the trailer, it is a shame that the direction already looks lacking in artistic merit and production value. this director should watch japanese films or eastwood film letters to kiwo jima, or even zimerick’s cast away with tom hanks. japanese films and the latter with very few speaking actors emphasizes build of character, and the irony of an idyllic (picturisque) setting with the survival instinct of human beings. even reading the book ‘the lord of the flies’ would have inspired the director/producers to have at least developed the characters of this young boys into something more artfully dramatic where in a place with no laws or enforcement of such, the very primal battle for leadership or rulership amidst survival becomes the matter of intrinsic value in the story telling. suspicion, intrigues, and more specific issues such as repressed attraction to same-sex would have then been weaved to form a credible and impactful film experience.

  7. To Anonymous January 25, 2010 8:36 PM: I understand what you are trying to tell us. Unfortunately, that is not the message that the producers or the directors of these type of pink films want to convey to the community. Perhaps. But then one only needs to see the results in films like Sagwan, Showboyz and even the latest film of the Altarejos/Bonife tandem – Laro sa Buhay ni Juan. They all failed to cut across the screen as a good movie with a good theme and a good message. Of course, the summa cum laude of them all would be the Cris Pablo anthologies of trash Queeriosity videos.

  8. maeepal kayo lahat, kaya naglipana ang ganitong mga indie movies na wala kanyong production values ay dahil kumikita sila at marami ang nanonood, sinong tangang gagawa ng indie kung walang kikitain…. what do you expect from an indie film na ang budget eh kakapiranggot compared sa commercial films… masyado kayong ambisyoso di naman kayo ang nagproproduce nyan, akala nyo andali dali gumawa ng pelikula…

    manood na lang kayo…

    mga bakla! (peace)

  10. To Anonymous January 26, 2010 12:54 PM: ako si anonymous January 26, 2010 9:58 AM.

alam ko ang sinasabi mo tungkol sa costs of producing films. i am with the production team of TV commercials kaya alam ko ang sinasabi mo. and i agree with you.

by the way, di ako hipokrito. nauuna pa nga ako sa pag nood or pag bili ng mga indie movies and yes, inaamin ko ang binibili ko yung mga pirated copies.

nagsasabi lang ako ng saloobin ko and masakit man talaga aminin, alam natin na tama ang sinasabi ko.

on a final note, have you watched any of cris pablo’s videos? have you watched his latest (i am not sure kung latest nga) video – boarders? it is being sold as boarder ni kuya. if you haven’t, go and buy even the pirated copy. and you will know what trash is.

  11. Ay naku mga bakal puro kayo drama iisalng naman and inaabangan niyo lahat , its not the value of the movie but the titi na ilalabas ng mga actors, amininnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, lahat kayo plastic and mapagpangap mga bayot talaga kayo

why don’t we just respect each other’s opinions? stick to the issues bakla, puede ba? goes to show what kind of real character you have.
