As I have mentioned before, Cebu is such a treasure trove of goodlooking half-breed [mestizos] models. Top Cebu model Cassidy Shun is virtually unknown in Manila, but he sure is knocking them out of their fashion wits in the Queen City of the South. The uniquely-named Cassidy Shun [I remember there was an American actor-singer who went by the name of Shaun Cassidy, he who sang “Da Doo Ron Ron” and starred in Hardy Boys series in the 70s] is a member of the Models Association of Cebu or MAC. Said models’ association is probably the Cebu counterpart of Manila’s influential Professional Models Association of the Phils. or PMAP. Cassidy is also an actor in ABS-CBN-Cebu’s Cebuanovela, called “Summer Sunshine.” The 22-year-old, 6’2″-tall model initially played for Samsung in the local play-for-pay basketball tournaments, before being discovered for the fashion klieg lights.
