Erie Matic was the winner of the 2001 MTV Fashionista Best Model Search, a models-only competition. The 6’2″-tall hunk then went on to land top fashion spreads and shows in the metro before invading the TVCs, most memorable of which was the Red Horse Beer advert. By the way, did you know that the MTV Fashionista Model Search had a point-judging system based on “best genetic ideals.” Before you wrinkle your nose, such “genetic ideal” bull is composed of looks (40 points), model body (30 points) and the right moves and projection (30 points). MTV Fashionista has since been discontinued.
