As an inflected form of the Spanish term “golpear”, golpeo means “to beat or strike.” Swarthy and strapping Ronnie Golpeo could sure beat the heck out of anyone with his physique. Surprisingly, he is one gentle soul with loads of humor. Proof of this was his Mr. Friendship Award at the Mr. World-Philippines contest. The 21-year-old part-time model from Quezon was voted for the award by his peers due to his funnyman antics during the contest. He describes himself as a “homebody type who likes to play basketball and video games. ”
