Hollywood or Bust

So there. Sam Milby‘s calling it quits [for now] in Philippine showbiz. He’s leaving February next year to pursue his, ironically, American dream. Apparently, he got himself an agent in New York and was promised some casting calls in some shows. Here’s wishing him all the tough luck in the US, so that he may be successful this coming year.

  1. I hope he makes it. He has the looks, sex appeal, the passion and experience. He may not be the best actor but it can be developed pa, meron na kasing talent eh. Magaling to si sam, kaya yan. Wishing him the best! If he doesnt make it, may fallback pa sya lagi dito for sure.. May napatunayan na kahit pano..

  2. I like Sam… But lets be realistic here! Hate to break it to you but.. BUST!

  5. well he can always come back here and live a normal peaceful life as a regular american, away from the spotlight and controversy

  6. balik lang yan cgurado sa pinas, di sya hollywood material, pang local lang yan, kung nasa usa yan, cgurado punta si mama piolo din dun. as of now naka focus muna si mama piolo kay mark bautista at nagtatago kase fresh pa utak ng tao yung kina KC….

  7. i think it was lea salonga who once said “you should know where to find your audience” lea was overlooked here before she made it big in west end and the rest was history, charice pempengco was just a sour graping runner up on a singing show here before she was guested in oprah and the rest again was history,on the other hand, sam milby already found his audience when he moved here from Ohio,u.s.a,and know he expect to also find his audience in hollywood?i dont think there will be second glory for him there..

  8. DOn’t like sam. With the right connections, agent, luck and swak project, he could make it.

  9. Lets not be judgemental …after all, HE IS a FELLOW FILIPINO! and though pinoys might not find his acting skills convincing.. iba naman ang american taste.. its all luck.. either you make it or not.. sno ba makakapag sabi na ang mukhang kinatam na mukha ni rob pattinson e sisikat diba.. or even the hipon na taylor lautner..

  11. Well, good luck na lang sa kanya pero wala na siguro sya babalikan dito. Mabilis makalimot ang mga tao. Look at Sandara Park nung nagbakasyon sa Korea for just 3 months.

I don’t think he is expecting to become a big star naman like Brad or Leo or something. And for a time naging super sikat. Sam, just like any other Filipino actor, could hit it like that, actually.

  13. I like this guy.. whether he makes it or not and importante he tried to pursue something in his life… but id be happy if he makes it there. Good luck Sam!

  14. I wish Sam well in his future endeavors and plans. Sana naman he’ll make it in Hollywood. Rumor has it that Jon Avila (Mullaly) is also going Hollywood.

May both of you snag good projects in the U.S. Pero you have to admit that it is hard to penetrate the US entertainment market, a case in point: Giselle Toengi. Pero who knows, lady luck may cast its spell on your stars!

    – Beki Morales lang po…

TSE! Well, in fairness gwapo si Sam noh, sa acting im not sure kung pang hollywood.
