[l-r, Alizon Andres, Larry Bril, JoeVince Canizares]

[l-r, Pierre Niccolo Fabi, Jerome Ortiz, James Zablan, Raphael Kiefer]

Summer is really here guys. The body-in-a-bikini contests are in town. One of which is the relatively new Century Tuna Superbods, which is held in Boracay. On 28 April, 12 guys and 12 girls go for the Php 500,000 prize as well as a modeling contract as the exclusive image model of the tuna product. Photos above are some of the male finalists:

Alizon Andres has been joining all modeling and bikini contests ever since he wanted to join showbiz. The guy won as Page Jeans image model, and all he got were billboards in Baclaran and Santolan. He twice joined the auditions for Starstruck, that GMA 7 reality-based show for new actors. He didn’t make the cuts. Lately, if you notice along EDSA he is one of the boxing guys in that Alaxan billboard. And then there’s model Larry Bril, who at 25 could be the oldest in the batch. This 6′ guy has appeared in TVCs and on the ramp. Veteran model and Cebuano Joe Vince Canizares is in it too. He is probably taking a hiatus from his modeling in Singapore, where he is the toast of the town there along with Rocky Salumbides and another Cebuano, Ezra Blu Freeland.

Model Pierre Niccolo Fabi, who is singer Lance Raymundo’s very dear friend, is also in the finals. I think he also entered last year when Jon Mullaly won. Jerome Ortiz, of course, everyone will remember him as the buffed god who won Mossimo Bikini Summit last year. All along I thought he went back to Cologne, Germany to pursue his sports journalism career. Then there’s former-FEU-baller-now-model James Zablan with the ripped bod and the prominent nose. Raphael Kiefer, that kid model then who beat Brent Javier in an MTV-sponsored model contest, is also in the competition, this time buffed, bald and burnished.

Who is your bet?

[Thanks to the nice guy who sent the photos to my email. I will not mention your name here as you might have issues with that, but you know who you are. As for your requested posts, will try to look for those pics. With gratitude.]

Vote for Haroun!

by: rddantes March 19, 2007 | 2 Comments |

Guys the Mossimo Bikini Summit 2007 [Take it Underground!] is up again this year, which event will be held in Manila on 21 April at an undisclosed location [organizers must be having a hard time looking for a venue to their so-called reggaethon party-contest]. One of the finalists is Haroun Morales, all grown up now [see pics above, as opposed to those below, which were taken 2 years ago]. Please vote for him by text message in the following format: MBS07 [space] M02 to 2366.

Twenty year-old Dexter Castro is currently taking up nursing at the Metropolitan Hospital College in Manila. This 5’8″ tall cutie has lately set his eyes upon joining bikini contests, such as Ginoong Pilipinas 2006 [lost to eventual winner Ken Escudero aka Alvin Cano Asuncion] and 2006 Super Bodies Bikini Open [2nd runner-up to hottie Racel Matic].

Dick-A-Day: CJ Papa

by: rddantes | 3 Comments |

The guy’s a stripper in one of the gay bars along Timog Avenue in Quezon City. He made a porn film way back but it was never released commercially. CJ also became stud-fodder in most of the gay mags circulating during his time, as he was one of the more audacious blokes to let it all hang out.

Dishy: Jester Cristobal

by: rddantes | 1 Comment |

Fate has it that maybe his folks took a fancy to a clown or a buffoon when he was born. Jester, yes that is his real name, is a Hotel and Restaurant Management student at the World City Colleges in Kalookan City. He was formerly a member of Dyna Dancers [the recent batch, not the Alma Moreno back up] and currently with an all-boy dance group, Break Zone.

Beefcake: Arnold Ortanez

by: rddantes March 18, 2007 | 1 Comment |

When a gay club by the name of Klub Maginoo opened somewhere near Monumento in Kalookan City, no cool gay guy in the metro wanted to go because of the seamy environment of the place. But when word got around that a certain Arnold Ortanez was the star dancer of Klub Maginoo, and that he was very, uh, generous as he was bountiful, the gay guys started trooping to the place, braving the dark and yecchy alleys of Kalookan. As the fate of male strippers go, Arnold got old, and apparently went to Japan for work.

He stands merely at 5’6″ but he looks good in his photos anyways. Jernberg Avellanosa [nickname: Jeg] went to school at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Manila. He has modeled for fashion brands Oxygen and Penshoppe and has appeared as the lead in a previous TVC of Islander sandals.

The Other Brothers Guesande

by: rddantes | 5 Comments |

Remember the other two brothers that composed the sibling triumvirate of strippers who blazed through the gay bars some time back? [Shades of the Rockland brothers, although they have not done gay movies and all of them are straight supposedly]. I featured Paul earlier [see recent posts] in rather tame studio shots. Photos above are of younger brother Jay who was initially the more daring one as he came out with a series of pictures in his birthday suit prior to posing with his brothers. The ones below are of Denmark, the youngest [and probably the longest] among the three. Relatively new, he came into the scene when his brothers were already established in the biz. The photos [except the first two above] are hazy – as they were meant to be that way – and taken from the bookazine Rice.
