I did not see the movie, I must admit, but the guys’ photos are somehow worth posting. Brent Lee is the guy with the bad hair while Kiko Montenegro is the somehow sallow one on the right. They are in the indie movie called Pantasya which was produced by Viva Entertainment, which movie was screened only at the UP Film Center, if I’m not mistaken.
And more Brent and Kiko:
The vain one. Frank Taunenbaum, half-Dutch and half-Filipino first appeared in TVCs as the charming guy in the Sarsi cola commercial. After P4, he went to Thailand to do some modeling. When he came back, he did the cough-and-colds series of commercials, which re-established him in the advertising market of talents. He has also done TV appearances. Photo below was taken at a mall show this year with singer Lance Raymundo and fan.
Ronnie Magallanes is only 20 years old and he was a Computer Science student at the Columban College in Olongapo City when he was “discovered” to join bikini contests. He first joined Beach Bodies 2004 in Olongapo City, and although he did not win, he got offers for minor modeling stints in Manila. He finished 2nd RU at the Campus Face 2005 [won by multi-racial Spark Ding]. He wants to be an actor, so he took up courses in acting with the GMA Artist Center.
Let’s just say that in the alphabet soup of male bikini pageants, this 6′ tall native of Angeles City has indulged himself in some buffet. Twenty-two year old Tyron Gomez, fresh from his loss at the 2006 Ginoong Pilipinas male pageant [which was won by Alvin Cano Asuncion aka Ken Escudero], is now trying his luck in the indie movies. Prior to that, the most “notable” contests he has joined were Mr. and Ms. Sexy Body, Bikini Summit Philippines and Body Heat [And I’m really stressing here guys that these contests are mere stepping stones to stardom. Really.]
I always thought it was John Harren Cuevas, that cute chinito, who came in last as one of the Viva Hotmen, that strip-lipsync-and-grind group of relatively goodlooking boys who made the chichis swoon some time ago. Now that the Viva Hotmen are disbanded, eased out of oblivion by the Men of Provoq, it can be told that the last guy who went in was six-footer Cedric Javier. He joined the group months before the fall, when the offers started to dwindle. Cedric, who never even got his brownie points as a member, was part of the indie film Coed produced by Viva. At least he got to sing and dance with his group, even for just a while.
I’m on my 100th post guys and I’m pitching eight naked persons, whose pictures were culled from Valentino magazine [go buy the glossy, you’ll see more]. They are the Boys of Valentino, and frankly I do not know much about these guys. Let’s see, there’s Rico Medina, a 19-year old guy who once posed with bubbles covering him there down south; Kerk Vincent, all of 18 years who claims he is part of his school’s basketball varsity team; Alfred de la Cruz, 23 years old and a favorite photo subject of an aging and déclassé fashion designer with a funny name, who posts Alfred’s pics in a Multiply account [you could just imagine the pics there and I’m not telling yet the name of the account]; MC Auriel Gagan, 20 years old and a Computer Engineering student, who once posed with glass bubbles over his privates; and Robin Martinez, a 19-year old waiter in Makati City. As to the others, I will have to find out yet. In the meantime, take your pick[s] and I will post their individual photos soon.
