After his nudie debut in the island movie Santuaryo, Ardie Bascara f.k.a. Basti Romero is ready to show some serious acting [and skin] again in the new gay flick Brod from The Grit Project. Brod, a movie about gay love in fraternities, topbills Ardie together with Kenjie Garcia [Lihim ni Antonio], former dick-a-day feature Xeno Alejandro [Lalake sa Parola], Jess Mendoza [Ben and Sam], plus a host of other daring theater actors. This is directed by Ray Gibraltar, who directed Wanted Boarder – the awardee of Best Picture and Best Director during the 2009 CinemaOne Festival. Brod starts its commercial showing on 10 November 2010 in selected theaters.

Local queers are so picky. The guy is goodlooking and has a decent body. Its laughable to expect him or any Filipino for that matter to be hung. Unless your name is Johnny Angel or Brandon Lee. If he charges Php50K so be it. If you fancy him and you have the money go for it. Otherwise, keep your fucking mouth shut. And speaking of good looks, lets face it, Filipinos as an ethnic group was not blessed with it. Maybe 20% of the population are but the rest are trapos.

I personally know Ardie. He is a nice and decent guy. Too bad he has to do nudity in gay indie films. Hopefully he can become a mainstream actor like Coco Martin. All the best to Ardie.
