Before he got terribly fat, Nicolas Philip “Nicos” Bacani looked like this. He was slimmer and sexier, by the beach, shooting raw-racy scenes for the indie flick Santuaryo. The 5’10”-tall cutie is a veteran in contests featuring skimpily-clad innocent-looking boys. It’s a bit uncertain if he’ll do the rounds this summer with his butterball figure. What’s certain though is that Santuaryo will start its commercial showing on 17 March 2010.

Isa pa, walang kwenta ang comeback ng contest na ito. Saan ka naman nakakita, na-announce na ang TOP 9 at na-interview na ni Boy Abunda, biglang binawi. Kasi ang mga manager na sina Carla, Christian, Kenneth at Alvin ay nag-eskandalo kasi di pumasok ang mga talent nila. Tinalo pa ang mga palengkera sa lakas ng mga boses. Kaya pinatawag uli ang TOP 15 at iniba ang resulta. Anim na nasa original na TOP 9, biglang nawala. Ang pinagtatakahan ng marami ay parang walang ginawa ang mga organizer at producer. Bakit sila pumayag na maiba ang resulta dahil lang mga mga nag-eskandalong manager?
Nakakadiri ang contest na ito. Ni walang make-up artist. At ang backstage, saksakan ng dilim. Wala pang maupuan ang mga talent. Ni tubig para mainom ng mga bata sa backstage, di sila nag-provide. Eto pa. Wala silang nilagay na salamin sa backstage. Paano kaya matse-tsek ng mga contestant ang hitsura nila kung walang salamin? Pero take note. Naka-set up sila ng exhibit ng mga gown sa may audience area. At gumastos sila sa mga drummer na nag-welcome sa mga guest. Pero ni kapirasong salamin at isang bombilya ng ilaw, di sila naka-provide sa backstage.
Meron pa. Bakit nawala na si Boy Abunda nung announcement ng mga winner, pagkatapos bawiin ang orginal result? Nairita ba siya? Di ba niya ma-take ang sitwasyon kaya umalis? Nag-walk out ba?

blog ng isang contestant “LAWRENCE MANALO” sa maharlika na nawala sa top 9.
Last February 21, 2010, I joined a contest entitled Maharlikang Pilipino 2010. Forty candidates started the contest and after the swimwear and barong tagalong competitions, we were down to the top fifteen. I was very happy because I was included in the top fifteen. Then it was time for the first Q&A portion hosted by no less than Mr. Boy Abunda. Probably, out of the fifteen candidates, I was one of the few who answered the questions properly. Maybe that’s the reason why I was not surprised when they called my name that I was included in the top nine. I was very happy because all of us in the top nine, regardless of the ranking, were all winners. We went through another Q&A that I thought I answered pretty well. When they were about to announce the rankings, a commotion was happening below the stage. We waited for a while until an announcer spoke and said that there was something wrong with the top nine and requested for all of the other candidates that were in the top fifteen to go back on stage. The announcer also said that everything would be back to zero. However, that didn’t happen instead, they just announced the rankings of the top nine. The funny thing about it was, everyone but three from the original top nine, including myself, were removed and were replaced by the candidates who were originally out of it. Another interesting fact was that, two candidates that made it to the “new” top nine were the same candidates from “Mr. & Ms. Young Faces 2009” who also won while something fucked up happened as well, take note, they only have one manager. HAHA… I’ll post the Q&A portion soon and you’d be the judge. . I really wanted to cry when they called the new top nine and I was not part of it, but I didn’t. I already accepted the fact that this competition was a BIG JOKE.
Though am i just being bitter? .. maybe im just thinking of all of this because i lost. i wish its really just like that.. though i have basis..
