One of the simple pleasures of a slow Sunday evening is watching movies at home, slouched on the couch, with the gloom of Monday coming up. I got to see The Science of Sleep earlier, which movie is about an artist [played by the visually ethereal Gael Garcia Bernal] “with a tenuous grip on reality.” It is all about blurring the lines between reality and fantasy [or dreams, in this case]. Sitting through the film drove me nuts because I could not even decipher at once between the real and the imagined in this film. Nevertheless, I must say that the movie was engaging and enjoyable. UPH was nudging me all the time about the curly-haired hunk in sleeveless tee and tight jeans — with a swishy geezer in tow.
