  7. Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents seized suspected cocaine and liquid ecstasy worth P457,000 during a buy-bust operation in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on Tuesday morning.

An initial information from PDEA said one Aaron Cruz and Geraldine Vitto were arrested during the operation.

Authorities were able to confiscate 84 pieces of ecstasy tablets and two self-sealing transparent plastic sachet with an estimated value of P301,000, eight medium pack of suspected cocaine with an estimated value of P72,000 and eight bottles of liquid ecstasy with an estimated value of P84,000.

It was earlier reported by PDEA that the seized cocaine and ecstasy have an estimated value of P1 million.

In a separate Balitanghali report by GMA News’ John Consulta, authorities said Cruz’s cellphones contained messages that will show his drug transactions.

An initial probe also said Cruz was allegedly using transport network vehicle service in delivering illegal drugs in Tomas Morato and in Fort Bonifacio.

Authorities are now checking if Cruz’s group is part of a big drug syndicate. They are also investigating who is the financier of his group.

According to PDEA, the suspects will be slapped with charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
