Okay, continue the discussion here. The movie has been shown ages ago and people are still talking beyond the merits of Sagwan. Too, it involved now the State U’s role in screening films far from the reach of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board [MTRCB]. For whatever it’s worth, the movie Sagwan brought about a lively interaction – nasty or otherwise – on the continuing debate on freedom of speech and expression versus public decency and pornography. In bikini open years, Christopher “Chriz” Villarba would already be in his late 40s. That is because this 5’8″-tall cutie has been in almost every competition where he has to wear speedos and briefs. Actually, he is only 23 years old and his most recent win was at the Summer Bodies 2008 contest sponsored by Filinvest Festival Mall [he finished second runner-up]. This summer, expect to see more of Chriz Villarba, who is not retiring from the bikini open competitions yet.

Of course, it is also my favored day of the work week because it ushers in the grand thought of a weekend, fast-forward. Rogie Lumba shows us how to take a breather, unlax and unwind. Rogie, who stands 5’8″-tall, is a 21-year-old freelance model, who was discovered at the Ginoong Antipolo 2006 contest. 
Now that summer’s fast approaching, watch out for 20-year-old Renzo Martinez in the thongs-and-trunks contests of the season. The 5’8″-tall student and part-time model was last seen as a contestant at the first bikini open contest for the year – the 2009 Mr. & Ms. Sexy Body sponsored by Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall. Unfortunately, he did not get in the finals. Let’s see how this moreno with the great bod fare in the competitions to come. 
Actor Geoff Eigenmann has reportedly signed up and over to GMA-7, his home studio’s rival network. Unconfirmed reports state that the cutesy actor, who is turning 24 next month, has taken over the role vacated by JC de Vera [who is in turn, moving to ABS-CBN] in Obra, a prime time series. Geoff was formerly a talent of GMA-7 before he switched to ABS-CBN where he did soaps and shows. Recently, he started to shed off the poundage, the teen roles and some clothes to portray adult characters on tv.
…for the big break. Nineteen-year-old Herson Barias first burst into the bikini scene last year when he joined the Heatwave Bikini Showdown sponsored by Starmall in Alabang. He was the favorite in the contest, judging from the shrieks and shouts from admiring fans in the audience. Too bad he only placed second runner-up [eventual winner was Kish McBride]. The 5′-11″-tall native of San Pedro, Laguna is sure to be back – with vengeance -this summer for the bikini open contests.
