To me,the best-looking and hottest among the Eigenmann brothers, sons of noted Filipino actors, is Ryan Eigenmann. At the recent IndieSine, an independent cinema festival, held at Robinsons Galleria Mall, his latest movie Baliw [literally, deranged] was a big hit among indie film lovers and critics. Ryan was the lead in Baliw, as a messed-up orphan who grew up to be a serial killer. The movie was megged by a California-based Filipino, Redd Ochoa.

I Heart Marvin!

Actor Marvin Agustin‘s secret to his buff bod is South Beach Diet, regular exercise and boxing regimen. In the latest issue of Men’s Health Philippines, he revealed that the reason he worked out from chub to fab was because he felt he “never had the physical traits of an artista.” So he hit the gym to make his shoulders broader as he had a big head and a small frame. Unlike his mate Dominic Ochoa, who has gone old and porcine, Marvin Agustin [previously given up by his old tv studio as a has-been] is experiencing a second energy burst in his career, thanks to a great bod and positive determination.

“The Hottest VHM”: Jayson Colis

Twenty-four year old Jayson Colis was touted as the hottest member of the Viva Hotmen [VHM], the erstwhile song-dance-strip group of hunks under film outfit and talent management company Viva Films. The 6′-tall part-time model, represented Pangasinan province and won in the 2002 Ginoong Pilipinas male pageant. He went into modeling after grabbing the Ginoong Pilipinas title before he was cast as one of the members of the now-defunct VHM group. To date, not much has been heard of Jayson Colis.

Top Man: Gary Dulatas

At 30, Gary Dulatas maybe too old for modeling. Yet, this tall and swarthy chunk from Meycauayan, Bulacan, is always the top choice of designers and fashion companies to man their ramp shows and commercial adverts. By day, the 6′-tall pro model is a mechanic at his father’s car repair shop in his hometown. At night, he blazes through runways, neon-lit billboards and TV commercials in the metro. Arguably, Gary Dulatas, who was my first post in this blog as the Filipino male apotheosis, is the top male model in the Philippines.

Luis Alandy is back!

After a six-month hiatus from the biz, Luis Alandy is back in circulation. Luis took a forced leave after he got injured [torn leg ligament] from a basketball game. Apparently, he spent quite a hefty sum for the treatment of his injury, notwithstanding the projects he turned down because of his temporary disability. Now he can walk again, and GMA-7, his former TV station, has assigned to him a role in its new drama series, Impostora.

Southern Hunk: Muammar Alih

At the recent Ginoong Pilipinas pageant, Muammar Alih was the lone Muslim candidate, representing Zamboanga City. Unfortunately, the hunky Southern gent didn’t get the top or runner-up honors. Incidentally, he was last year’s 2nd runner-up and get this, Best in Formal Resort Wear [just what the freak is a formal resort wear?] at the Datu Marikudo Male Model Search, an annual bikini contest organized by Panay Island natives and staged in Boracay Island.

Naked Garden Romp: Bienmark Nebreja

The naked truth is that twenty-one year old Bienmark Nebreja, while fully clothed, would not really be the type who stops you on your yellow-bricked tracks immediately based on looks alone. Naked, Bienmark Nebreja would merit a second look. He was a finalist in the 2006 Ginoong Filipinas-Metro Manila male pageant and the Mr. Campus Face 2006 Search.
