Smörgåsbord!

Before the Brazilians and the fly-in models lorded it over the local runways, the male models that we had were these ones. The kind you would sometimes see in the inner city street corners, drinking high-proof distilled spirits with their shirts off. Well, they have nice bods and cute faces, too. Zombadings


Must watch, this movie. Zombadings 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington will finally be shown on 31 August 2011 in commercial theaters after its successful, word-of-mouth run at the recent Cinemalaya Festival. Cute young actor Martin Escudero a.k.a. Mart Escudero [in photo, right] plays the lead to a perfect comedic T with his best friend-love interest, a role taken on by Be Bench semi-finalist and occasional model Kerbie Zamora. Watch it starting 31 August, and if you can’t wait, here is the schedule for the advance screenings: Robinsons Galleria – Aug15, 7PM Cinema 5. Aug16, 8PM, Cinema 8; Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street – Aug21, 2PM & 5PM; SM Megamall Cinema 9 – Aug23 [tentatively moved to Aug25/30].

Kerbie Surprise

There must be something about Kerbie Zamora, who was one of the unexpected finalists of Be Bench Model Search held a couple of years ago on national tv. He was eliminated early in the contest but he sure was noticed by talent agents and casters. Now, he’s doing ramp and runway shows for top designers and brands. The 19-year-old cute boy definitely has gone a long way from being an anonymous teen in Cainta, Rizal.

Kerbie Zamora Sexy, Too!

After posting the Jolas photos, I was reminded of this kid from the ABS-CBN show a couple of years ago called Be Bench: Be Famous or Be Anonymous where Carlo Guevara, John James Uy and Ron Morales were discovered. The most daring guy in the show was a then-18-year-old student from Rizal – Kerbie Zamora. Standing at 6’1″-tall, Kerbie was a shoo-in for the top prize in the modeling contest. Unfortunately, he got eliminated early on, due to low text votes. He’s now doing runway shows for A-list and up-and-coming designers.
