May Day!

On the occasion of May Day festival [or Labor Day in the country], I bring you not one, or two but ten freakin’, sexy, shirtless boys m-e-s-s-i-n-g by the pool! Let’s see… from left, we have Ben Sapida [a.k.a. Benjamin Alves], Kerbie Zamora, Bjorn Aguilar, Ervic Vijandre, Lemuelle Pelayo, Jovic Susim, Geron Lontoc, Benj Bolivar, Alizon Andres and JC Tiuseco. Who’s your best bet?

Runners-Up

While we’re on the topic of Mossimo, the 2009 Mossimo Bikini Summit was a merry mix of runners-up. The winner Jiro Shirakawa, of course, was expected as it was buzzed around even before the finals night then that he’d get the top prize. What was interesting was the proclamation of two first runners-up. Dancer Angelo Cacciatore [above] was declared first runner-up during the contest.

Model and varsity baller Geron Lontoc was not named as one of the runners-up during the contest. [He was reportedly seen bawling back stage right after the proclamation, as he was promised a slot in the winners circle]. A week after the finals night, in a post-pageant party Geron was subsequently proclaimed by the organizers as the first runner-up. Angelo was not present at that time. So that made two first runners-up in the competition.

Back Stage

Bad boys, bad boys, watcha gonna do when they come for you? I love naughty boys back stage before a show or a contest. They are free to let it all hang out. Sort of like releasing some tension. Winners

This picture seems odd because apparently this is the official photo of the winners of the 2009 Mossimo Bikini Summit held months back. Of course, the winner – Jiro Shirakawa is in front of the pack. Angelo Cacciatore [second from right], who was declared first runner-up, is right behind Jiro. The second runner-up announced that night was Mark Manicad [rightmost]. And Geron Lontoc [leftmost] is also in the picture, literally and figuratively. Geron was not proclaimed as one of the runners-up during the contest. Reportedly, he was seen bawling back stage after the winners were called, expecting that he will get one of the top prizes. In a post-pageant party held to mark Jiro’s birthday, Geron was subsequently proclaimed by the organizers as the first runner-up. Angelo was not present at that time. So that makes two first runners-up, I think. If you ask me, I’m a bit addled, too.

Dreamy Boys

Three tall, cute and decent boys, shirtless!  The one on the left is Christopher Lou Sumalinog, a 19-year-old student at the Ateneo de Manila University. He’s currently taking up Interdisciplinry Studies on a varsity scholarship with the Ateneo Blue Eagles.  Middle guy is a favorite and supposedly Mossimo runner-up Geronimo Lontoc, Jr.  Nineteen-year-old Geron is on the basketball team of the University of Santo Tomas [UST].  The one on the right is Jome Silayan, also 19 years old, and a Fine Arts Major in Advertising student in UST. He loves playing the piano and engaging in his favorite sports – tennis, badminton and chess.

Geron and JR at Bench show

Yesterday, cute guys Geron Lontoc [left] and JR Tirona, castoffs at the recent Mossimo Bikini Summit 2009, walked the runway for rival Bench Body underwear’s Philippine Fashion Week collection at the SMX Convention Hall of the Mall of Asia. The guys were hot and come-hither in their colored briefs.  Although they were unjustly deprived of the major titles at the Mossimo competition, Geron and JR are undaunted as they pursue their modeling careers.

These guys are my top bets in Mossimo Bikini Summit 2009 – Geron Lontoc [left] and Angelo Cacciatore. The Mossimo finals, which was originally set last Saturday in Boracay was re-scheduled to 23 May 2009 at the Skydome of SM North EDSA.  Tickets are free, provided you get them now as they are on a first-come, first-served basis. I’m betting on tall and sexy Geron to win this one, and Angelo as an alternative choice for the title. See you all there on finals night!
