Ex-varsity baller, Century Tuna Superbods winner, and reality show contestant Sylvester Ram Sagad nearly made it in New York as a model. He, however, is back in town doing big fashion shows, magazine editorials and TVCs . It must be remembered that some time ago, after his stint at the Philippine edition of Fear Factor, Ram was cast in the prime time soaps of ABS-CBN. Now he plays support to the actors in said studio.

Model Man

New York, NY – How about a break from all the varsity basketball players and the polarizing comments? So now, we come to male model Ram Sagad, who happens to be one of those – if not the first Filipino [born-and-raised] male model – who made considerable inroads in the highly competitive US modeling scene. Ram has done major campaigns stateside, and although he’s temporarily back there in Manila now, he hopes to continue his modeling career in NYC pretty soon. Oh wait, he used to play for the San Sebastian College Golden Stags basketball team!

Model and Century Superbods 2007 winner Ram Sagad is still part of the team. You know, that team of models who are invited, recruited by a rich guy to be his posse and whatever. It’s a fine bunch – sexy, shirtless models walking the beach, cavorting and partying. Ram Sagad , whose lean and gaunt boyish frame is an exception to the team’s standard of robust and muscled men, was enlisted because of his Superbods title. The team boasts of winners in modeling competitions and bikini contests. Ok, there! I didn’t mention varsity and basketball player in this post.

Male model Ram Sagad has also ventured into television, just like his San Sebastian College Golden Stags team mate and fellow model JC Tiuseco. It must be noted that Ram once one-upped JC when the former won the Century Tuna Super Bods Search, where the latter placed first-runner-up. After his stint at the Philippine edition of Fear Factor, Ram was cast in the prime time soaps of ABS-CBN. Now he plays support to the actors in said studio.

Bench Chinese

Someone sent this photo to my mail and funny, because I was wondering -at first, how Bench Body underwear actually scored a show somewhere in Tomas Pinpin, Juan Luna or Ongpin in broad daylight! And then again, I just realized that this photo of hot male mod  Ram Sagad was taken in China during a road show for Bench. In front of a lunch time crowd composed of wildly appreciative Bench fanatics, natch!

Ram Sagad grows

Fresh-faced Sylvester “Ram” Sagad is having a grand time in modeling. He’s been practically in all fashion shows and commercials in the metro, after bursting into the limelight via a surprise win at the Century Tuna Superbods Model Search last summer. He is finishing a course in Hotel and Restaurant Management at the San Sebastian College-Manila, where he also played varsity hoops. Although showbiz beckons, he says he might just stick to modeling for now.

Varsity Ballers Rule!

San Sebastian College Recoletos [SSCR-R] must be the Handsome Boy Modeling School in the country. A raid on their basketball varsity teams, the Stags of the Manila campus and Baycats of Cavite City campus, would yield the tall, trim and tempting guys. Let’s see, there’s JC Tiuseco, and Ram Sagad [the taller guy in the photo above], who both won the top spots in the Century Tuna Superbods last summer. And then there’s 24-year-old model Marx Pangan Topacio [the shorter guy in the photo], who used to play for the SSC-R Baycats. The 6’1″-tall hunk from Kawit, Cavite finished BSBA Management from SSC-R de Cavite. He has done TVCs [e.g. Greenwich], print ads and runway shows, too.

Ram Sagad at the Cosmo Bash

Twenty-one year old baller and model Sylvester “Ram” Sagad was such a refreshing sight to behold at the Air Cosmopolitan Flight 69 [Bachelors’ Bash] held recently. In short neon green disco shorts, Ram really worked the crowd that night with his boyish charm and built 6’3″ frame. Ram [he got his nick from Rambo, the famous character of Sylvester Stallone] currently plays for the San Sebastian College Recoletos Stags, together with JC Tiuseco. Incidentally, JC Tiuseco was Ram’s runner-up when he won the Century Tuna Superbods Image Model Search last summer.
