Don’t let me start extolling their talent in singing, because that fact is a given: these boys are good at what they do! Today is rather different because we’re seeing them in a different light. Or under the light, with no shirts on. First up is Christian Bautista who’s filling in the shoes of our dear Raymond for Sexy Solutions, because apparently the sexy solution didn’t, uh, quite work. This time, it did wonders for Christian who didn’t have to do anything strenuous to get those abs. Too bad he shaved the hair there though.

And then there’s Mark Bautista! It’s always a joy to see him like this: shirtless and with .. I think those are the pointiest nips I’ve ever seen in a while. Physical attributes aside, he’s a good crooner, theater actor and an all-around nice guy in person. Okay, I can’t really put the physical attributes aside because his talent matches his good looks.

Cosmo Night

It’s Cosmo Night later! The boys and the men are out to play for the girls. Of course, we’ll see the usual wet, sweaty bods on stage. Some may pull down their pants. Others will just have to be prissy with their jeans on. But just the same, it will be one wild night with all the half-naked men. Here are some moments in the past Cosmo Bachelors Bash that I remember.

The water gun was introduced in 2008, to douse the guys, including Bruce Quebral.

Christian Bautista came to the defense of his friend, singer Mark Bautista, whose name is being dragged into the breakup of celebrity couple Piolo Pascual and KC Concepcion. Christian belied rumors that Mark is gay. “Mark is not gay. Ganun ang industry. Matagal na ito. It’s not new, and Mark and Piolo have proven themselves time and time again. No matter merong isyu na ganito, they will survive. They have songs, they have concerts,” he said. Christian said that he himself was also once rumored to be gay. But instead of dwelling on the issue, the romantic balladeer chose to move on.

Why do boys love to show off their pubes in public? Is there a certain appeal to it? The guy on the left is Mossimo Bikini Summit alum and yoga teacher Aljarreau Galang who is most comfortable in his skin. The one on the right is, of course, Christian Bautista who is a deeply religious, proverb-quoting, theistic J freak, singer and occasional actor. And then again he had to show his pubic hair intentionally.

I’ve always liked Christian Bautista as a singer. I bought all of his CDs – from the lame ones to the live recordings. These days, he’s taking off his shirt and he’s not exactly shy about it. His latest Cosmopolitan [Phils] magazine outing is, however, pushing the outside of the envelope too far. Way too far.

Speaking of Bench Uncut, will singer-actor Christian Bautista also make a big reveal on the night of the show? Will he wear briefs and show off his abs and bulge and spindly legs? The 28-year-old pop singer has bulked up in recent months and he’s not actually coy about it. His shirtless pics are all over the net and people expect him to expose more in the coming underwear show.

This is the actual and un-photoshopped image of 28-year-old singer and occasional actor Christian Bautista shirtless for the Bench billboard that went up along busy EDSA in the metro a month ago. Many had to take a second look [traffic hazard] to confirm that it’s really the wholesome “Romantic Balladeer” in a rather bold move. Well, it’s him all right, thanks to gym sessions and whole lot of image development.
