Who is Gio Gapas?

Beats me, but I’m trying to find out because he’s appearing in a new indie flick that looks promising because Lex Bonife [Parola, Lihim, Kambyo] wrote the screenplay, under the direction of the highly-acclaimed director, Monti Parungao [Sagwan, Bayaw]. The movie’s entitled Pulupot [Twisted], and the shoot’s still ongoing. This one’s going to be some daring queer flick to watch out for. So, Lex, who’s Gio Gapas [in photo], then?

Lazy Sunday

Sunday morning, yellow sky. The sun is floating, diamond high. I’m just on LSS mode from October Project’s Sunday Morning Yellow Sky song, and I’m in a state of do-nothingness on the verge of drowsiness, actually. Let’s see … Last night’s Jake Cuenca show at the Mall of Asia was a bringdown because Jake wore jeans throughout the show – never showing his butt and other parts where the sun doesn’t necessarily shine. Earlier this morning, I did that ABS-CBN-sponsored run along Roxas Boulevard in Manila and Jake was running and walking in his 5-km race. Piolo was faster, running 10 kms. in true running form. Hot and sweaty, he had nice round buttocks! I’m rambling because I can’t think now of any entry, too tired and torpid. And here’s AJ Ona – wet briefs and all – again, promoting the indie flick Santuaryo, which will have its commercial run starting 17 March 2010 in selected theaters.

Top

This just in. A still from the new beach flick, Santuaryo and Basti Romero a.k.a. Romeo Domingo Bascara a.k.a. Ardie Bascara is in it! This Cosmopolitan [Phils] magazine 2009 hot and new bachelor is headlining the movie, and it looks like he’s dropping more than his jeans. The 21-year-old cutie is going all out for his first movie project under Climax Films. Hopefully, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board [MTRCB] approves the director’s cut for commercial showing starting 17 March 2010.

Centerfold

It’s Marx Gorgeous and he’s back to show us the goods, the goods from a direct selling company where he’s the underwear model in the catalog. The 6’1″-tall Marx Topacio from Kawit, Cavite is one of the more in-demand male mannequins on the runway and in TVCs, easily outshining and outstripping the Nipo-Brasileiros in the go-sees. His exotic good looks, physique and height, plus professional attitude towards work have all combined to his good press in the modeling industry.

Queeriosity Workshop

No, this is not about Cris Pablo’s title-controversial indie flick Chub Chaser [in photo]. I just want to get your attention to make way for this announcement:
Sinehan Digitales, with the Queeriosity Project has been among the most prolific indie producers in the country to date with several queer-themed movies produced in the recent years. But during its summer workshops, Sinehan produces “straight-themed” movies as well. This summer 2010, to coincide with Sinehan’s Summer Workshops, three full length straight themed movies shall be produced to be participated in by the workshop students.

Sinehan offers the following workshops this summer:

1. Acting Workshop, every Saturday 10 am to 8pm beginning April 17 for five consecutive Saturdays. Enrollees will face the camera every session. A final full length movie project will be produced for the graduates at the end of the workshop. Sinehan offers the option of an actual performance in actual full length movies that are shown in a commercial cinema. Contact 09208619880 or 09217513819 for details. Workshop fee is P8,000.00
2. Basic Indie Movie Production Workshop, for students only and beginners or those who have no experience whatsoever in indie movie production may be allowed. The schedule is every Tuesday and Thursday for the classes from 5pm to 8pm with Saturdays scheduled for actual production of the exercises. Begins April 20 for ten days. Participants get to immerse in actual indie movie productions and learn more on the craft and business of indie movie production. Ideal for students and those who intend to join cinemalaya and other grant giving competitions so that they will learn how to budget and earn instead of losing lots of money in those competitive production projects. Workshop fee is only P3,000.00
3. Adobe Premiere Movie Editing Workshop, is for those who intend to work as editors for indie movies, etc. The workshop schedule is to be announced and the number of students is very limited. Enrollees will edit actual projects as a hands-on exercise. There is big potential that Sinehan might hire you as its in house editors. The editing process and principles will also be taught here.

For inquiries, you may contact 09208619880 or 09217513819 or 09279278844. You can come to the office at Unit 404 Wil-Vic Building, 96 V. Luna Road Extension, Brgy. Malaya, Diliman, Q.C. to enroll.

2001st Post

Every male model – from wannabes to has-beens – was there last Sunday. There refers to the Century Tuna Superbods Run at the Bonifacio Global City, where a go-see and a models contest was held under the hot, hot heat. The real star of the show was real man Derek Ramsay, fresh from a knee surgery, running sweaty. Too bad he didn’t go shirtless like the one in the posters and billboards. But just the same, he was scorching hot! And this is the 2001st post!

Jake’s Striptease

An announcement from Bench: Get Lost in Summer with Jake Cuenca as he takes off with Bench Body’s summer collection. Come and witness as he bares his flesh in style on 27 February 2010 [Saturday] at the SM Mall of Asia’s Main Atrium in front of the Bench store, at 6 pm. We hope to see you there! Now, that “bares his flesh in style” spin got me curiouser and curiouser so I’m definitely going. How about you?

Beach Boy Nicos

Before he got terribly fat, Nicolas Philip “Nicos” Bacani looked like this. He was slimmer and sexier, by the beach, shooting raw-racy scenes for the indie flick Santuaryo. The 5’10”-tall cutie is a veteran in contests featuring skimpily-clad innocent-looking boys. It’s a bit uncertain if he’ll do the rounds this summer with his butterball figure. What’s certain though is that Santuaryo will start its commercial showing on 17 March 2010.

Starstruck!

I forgot to post Steven Silva, one of the three male finalists in GMA-7’s reality show Starstruck. Apparently, he has the highest number of text votes among all the finalists during the nine-week run of the show. This 23-year-old chinito cutie from the City of Oceanside in California, is poised for the big-time as he’s hopeful of a win tonight in the finals of Starstruck.

The Brothers Kiefer

Cute brothers and models Marvin [top] and Raphael Kiefer are going separate ways under the klieg lights. Marvin the Younger, after his stint in Survivor Philippines [where he was dubbed as “The Ultimate Crush”] is getting spots in GMA-7’s shows as an actor. In fact, he’s headlining a new show in the network entitled Dear Heart – Stalker of the Heart with his girlfriend. On the other hand, Raphael the Older is still active in doing runways and TVCs. He’s the more daring Kiefer who can slip into skimpy briefs and Speedos sans qualms in stark contrast to the younger one, who swore off wearing them swimwear and jockeys in public and photo shoots.
